Hi,

Looking for what I hope is a quick solution. My sonar 1.0 (which i use with a delta 66 and omni studio) won't playback unless one of the tracks is armed for recording. This hasn't presented a major problem, but it's still one I'd like to rectify. Any thoughts?

Are you making sure that you have the "Audio Engine" Button pressed down? This needs to be pressed in to play audio. it is next to the transport button and says something like "Run/Stop audio engine" when you highlight it.

Why? Hitting play button automaticaly starts the audio engine. Generaly you only need to press it alone when you do input monitoring durring un-play state. I suggest to check your playback timing source somewhere in Options menu (I'm not at my DAW right now).

Just a thought. Make sure your recording window is set to Overwrite or Sound on Sound and not Auto Punch.
