azimuth of new ideas
anybody out there have wdm drivers for their 2408/pci2408 interface? i asked motu support when new drivers would be ready and they e-mailed me that windows me drivers could be downloaded from their site.WRONG! there is a press release dated 1/18/2001 that says wdm drivers for the pci324 are in beta testing.shouldn't they be out by now? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am afraid thats all they have
right now..I'm running the 2408
too. but havnt tried the drivers
yet.. I have noticed that the
in the remarks it says to contact
tech support with any problems..
initially it didnt even say that

I guess we get to check them out
first ..yes?

You first..let me know how it goes..

i downloaded both of pci324 driver zip files and neither has wdm drivers in it. one is a beta asio driver for win2000 and the other file adds gsif support for gigasampler and a few other things but no wdm support. i e-mailed them again and will let you no if they give me accurate info about the wdm drivers' availability.

o k thanks..I believe I was told that
the ASIO drivers were the WDM drivers

Yeah let me know please! Thanks

i guess you must be right they just e-mailed me saying the drivers are in beta on their site. just checked the site and they list wdm drivers too.

yeah..and I wont be the one that
tests them ...I like
how things are working with the
2408 as they are than to be testing out
unproven drivers...

How long have you been using
the 2408 and how do you like
the setup.. I actually kinda wish
I went the other route and got
the 1296..to get that extra bandwidth
..oh well

Good luck!!!!

been using mine about 2 1/2 years relatively trouble-free.originally had it in a 366 celeron box then transferred it over to my home built p3 800.i love it ,i have an adat and a tascam da30mk2 dat i use with the 2408 too. i installed the drivers and so far so good, hit a few minor snags on the install but sonar came up in wave profiler saying wdm kernel streaming finally.one disturbing thing is that the latency/buffer slider in the audio options won't let me any lower than 23 ms. the same as before i installed wdm. what's up with that?

Which version of Windows are running? I have
98 SE. The drivers still say ASIO 2000.

Holla back at me!

hey man ,hope your sonar experience has been better then mine. i am using win 98 se and somewhere during the wdm driver installation for the pci324 it did ask for the win98 se disk. my bugs: wrk file of my new song created in sonar , click to open it then blank screen then reboot. nasty crash scan disk etc.!! #2after rebuiding the song from the wavedata folder track by track i patch in a waves renaissance compressor and bam same exact crash. #3now i can't even open pro audio 9 without illegal operation invalid page fault in module cw9ttsauddx.dll at 0167:670126fl. leaves me stuck with working in sonar exclusively for now, with decidedly unpredictable results. let me know if you are having similiar difficulties. on the product sonar newsgroup everyone is having problems so it may not be the motu beta drivers entirely at fault. did you download your drivers yet? on my third install i didn't install the asio drivers that come as part of the package with the wdm drivers.remember you can install either or both wdm or asio, but you can only install a wdm core or a mme core not both. good luck keith
