I thought I got rid of this problem a few weeks ago, but it's back. I've been synching Cakewalk with my Roland VS-880 for over 4 years with no problems (back to Pro Audio 5). I'm using Sonar 1.3 - the one with the new file extensions - and now I'm losing sync. The VS is the master. I'm using MTC. All my settings are right I believe. In the past I only used Cakewalk for midi. I'm doing more & more audio on Sonar because I want to use what it has to offer. I thought I solved the problem by upping the latency from 10ms to 40. This solved the sync problem while recording (so far), but I'm losing it on playback. If I shut down Sonar and restart the program, it comes back but this is not a real answer. Any ideas are appreciated.
My system: 1Ghz Intel, Abit BE6II Mobo, 256MD PC133ram, 40Gb 7200rpmHD (App&OS) 10GB 5400rpmHD (wavedata - for now).
When this happened previously, wavedata was with the OS and Sonar on the big HD. Only about 6-8 audio tracks at 16bit going in Sonar.
