Hi,
I am running Sonar 2.2 & Reason 2.5 on an AMD 1.4 system w/ an Asus MOBO (Nvidea chipset). I am using an Echo Gina soundcard. (I have 1024 KINGSTON DDR RAM)

I was thinking about getting another Echo Gina to get more outputs for Sonar.

Has anyone else done this?

Any problems / IRQ issues / etc...?

Thanks

You need to talk to Echo for this one.

If the Echo-drivers can handle it, then yes, get another Gina. :)

I contacted Echo. They said "you may have problems, but that's w/ any 2 cards"

kind of vague answer.

Oh well, Im gonna do it, Ill keep you guys posted!

Thanks!

Well, that's not true. For example M-Audio Delta series have drivers that supports two or more cards... Two Delta 1010 will work happily together. :)

And two SB Live!/Audigy cards will not work together at all...

You'd better read this before deciding that two Deltas will work happily together.

I've been following this saga since June last year. I don't own a Delta, but I was interested in the thread out of curiosity.

BluesMeister, after the new drivers came for the Delta-cards (5.10.00.29), this is no longer a problem... :)

Delta owners rejoice!

Well perhaps I should qualify that, double-Delta owners double-rejoice!! :)

Thanks for the update there, Moskus. It's just a pity it took M-Audio so long to sort out the drivers.

I'd still recommend the Echo MiaMIDI to first-time purchasers though. Not that it too hasn't had issues, it certainly did with the early drivers. But now I reckon it's the one that should be at the top of everyone's list in the price range.

Perhaps Pedullist would consider the Echo after the Terratec debacle. Maybe his fingers are still burnt from that bad experience though.

Yeah, that thread @ SOS-forums is pretty old...
