Hey all,
This will sound really weird so bear with me on this one. I've decided after lengthy debates to go with Sonar over Cubase. Just seems more what I need. Anyway, my wife is an educator so we are elligible for the teacher discount (she's going to use it in her classroom also so nothing about misuse of discount). Now on one website I found Sonar 3 Studio for 199. Same website has Sonar 2.2XL for 239 plus the free upgrade to Sonar 3. Which would be the better purchase option? Also I could get Producer for around 369. The reason I ask is I was wandering if there were some worthwhile plugins (40 bucks worth) in the 2.2XL that would be worth going that route, or just save my money and go straight to 3.0 Studio? What do you guys think? I know 3 hasn't come out yet. Just wondering if based on specs alone I would pretty much be getting 3.0 in 2.2XL? Also would the upgrade take me to Studio or XL? Also, last question promise, will there ever be an upgrade path from 3 Studio to Producer and would it be worth it to wait for that? Thanks for any help you can give.

CWMarketingGuy was occasionaly on the board recently. I'm sure, he would be the best person to answer this question. As for me, I still didn't figure it out about the street prices over products. If you get lucky, he will answer your question in no time
