Hey ya'll
i have always been a Cubase user and a fanatic of it too.. but i got a project where am gonna be using Sonar Producer Edition..i use a USB controller Keyboard.i sent the MIDI input and outputs to that..and enabled [Rec] in SONAR's MIDI track and yet i dont see any signal comming in or going out .. like i would see in Cubase.... i would also like to know how i would use the VST's in SONAR.. i have the manual and everything .. i did everything it said .. and it did trigger the VST excpet that i was in track 1 and it was triggering channel 8 in the VST!! ... and i cant get around changing that... thanx for the help..

Thanx

You have to make sure your midi interface/USB interface is listed and selected under Options > Midi Devices from the main menu.

Next you have to go to your midi track and select the input interface that will feed the track. This is the same midi/USB interface above.

Re: VSTs

You have to create a midi and a seperate audio track for each instance of the synth module you want to use. Put the VST synth in the FX bin of the audio track. Next point the midi track output to the VST audio track. This should put you in business.
