Sonar File Saving

i'm coming from Cool Edit Pro - and i miss being asked to save each file as they are recorded. is there any way to NOT have Sonar save files with gibberish names? I don't want to fill up my hard drive with 50 takes... and it's very difficult to wade through all the files with names like '5tgd45ij.wav'

i'm assuming this is a perference setting somewhere?

I don't think there's a way to subvert Cakewalk's audio file management like you want. But old takes get cleaned up after you stop using them in your project when you do the Clean Audi Disk operation.

You might also want to get a copy of Cakewalk Audio File Finder (CWAF). This will tell you what projects are associated with specific wave files.

Not ideal, but it at least points you in the right direction. You can download it from the Cakewalk site.
