I have some songs previously done w/ PA 9.0 using the Cakewalk Reverb and EQ effects real-time. When I load these into Sonar it tells me that it has "removed references to real-time effects not present". However, I still have PA 9.0 on my machine and it opens them just fine, the effects are all there.

Has anyone seen this before and know a way around it? It will be a nearly impossible task to recreate all of these using the new versions of the FX in Sonar.

ok nobody's biting so I'll stick my neck out. :-)

This type of behaviour is unusual for DirectX plug-ins (especially native to cakewalk) since they are installed globally in the operating system, not specifically to a single app.

When I installed Sonar, I could see all my PA9 plug-ins in addition to the new ones in Sonar. Even when I un-installed PA9 I realized that the stock Cakewalk plug-ins from PA9 are still in Sonar.

In a situation like this I would call Sonar support and ask WTF? Unless they changed the code and the data is no longer compatible (unlikely) this should work.
