I had a weird one yesterday where I was recording multiple takes of a bass track into an existing file that was originally created using Sonar v4.
After recording say six takes correctly over the 30 second chunk, any subsequent take would stop after about 12 seconds and give me a, "Audio Disk Full: Unable to Save Full Recording".
There are 15Gigs free on my audio drive...
I opened the same file in Sonar v4 and it recorded perfectly.
I created a new track in Sonar v5 and set it up to loop record one-minute chunks of room noise from an open mic. I left it for three hours came back and it had finally fallen over after creating 100's of tracks... Everything seemed to work correctly.
So -- I haven't been able to "fix" it per se...just work around it.
Not that weird - I have experienced odd things moving from V2 => v3 and v3 => v4... Normally doing a SAVE AS in bundle format and then re-opening seems to work after saving it as a .CWP. This seems to write the file in v5 'native' format. Other times, selecting everything, copying it into a new track and then saving as a new .CWP fixes the issues.
As I was able to work around the issue, I didn't try either of those solutions.
Ciao,
Q.
- 64-bit double precision engine enabled
- Latency settings didn't affect the problem
- Nor did the I/O buffer size
