Does anyone out there have the same problem- when doing playback while any track is armed, the right output crackles and seems to distort but with no tracks armed it doesnt? I cant find anyway to fix this, it doesnt mess with my recordings, its just annoying.

S4 works fine for me, but it sounds like an issue I used to have when I was on Sonar 1. It wasn't a software issue, it was my M-Audio Delta 1010, which had a manufacturing defect in the input/output area. Intermittent buzzing/crackling sounds, that would be exascerbated by clicking the +10/-4 buttons. At first, it was only noticable in one channel during playback, when a track was armed. But it got progressively worse and worse until it was basically unusable. That was a 2001 model; I think current models are okay (M-Audio replaced my unit and everything works perfectly now). So, update your drivers and check your cables and recording interface. Try using different inputs and outputs if you have multiple ins and outs, and see if it still happens. Good luck.
