I know my soundcard sucks. But its awsome for gaming and thats is the most important part for now. Besides, its the Gamers edition so it isn't the $30 card. ;)

I used to hve an EMU1212m and that thing was a pain in the ass to figure out. I never did. Talk about a headache. Routing and routing and routing....and thats just the point and click part.

So now I am less concerned with overall quality and just wanting to get a basic feel for how this program works before I go shell out money for an A/D converter that is top notch.

I need some help on getting the signal in (from the LineIn on the SB to a track to record....then be able to play it back. Then be able to record another track while still hearing the first and no recording over the first either. (Don't even ask...EMU bullshit....lol)

So if anyone knows a good n00b way of explaining this then that would be awsome. I tried reading the instructions, but to be honest, I come from a Roland 1680 where everything worked like it was a physical object without all the new lingo, and this stuff is just too confusing to grasp at the moment. I mean, I go to set the input, and there is like 5 or 6 technical words that are more computer related than just "channel 1, channel 2, etc".

Any help? I really only need one track at a time for now.

I got it to record and play back, and I can overdub on more tracks. But I can't get it to monitor my current track I am recording while recording.
