Hi,
I have a reccurent problem since about a year with Sonar 4 and Sonar 5.
The problem is that when I record a track and then stop recording, 90% of the time Sonar freeze for about 20-30 seconds and then return to normal. I don't have any playback or recording problem.
My setup is : AMD 3200+, 2gig rams, Delta 1010, Maxtor 160gigs.
The things that is weird is that I had the same problem with 2 others computers. The only shared components between thoses 3 computers is the audio interface, a Delta 1010. So i tought here is the problem but even if I remove the Delta completely (physically and uninstall drivers) and use an Echo MIA the problem is not resolved.
One other weird fact is that it worked for the 3 computers for about 2-3 months before it happens.
I think I tried every setting in Sonar, every drivers supported by the Delta, run disk cleanup, defrag, run a bunch of disk utilities, CPU utilisations, etc.. I remove every services and applications I do not need, read optimisation guide for audio recording etc... since I had the bug with 3 differents computers it's almost impossible that this is an hardware problem (except for the audio interface).
I didn't find anything on the internet about this problem so i'm asking it here, hoping someone will give me some idea.
Maybe the problem is that the audio interface corrupt Sonar or something like that..
Thanks a lot,
Simon
