Anyone know if the volume curve bug is fixed yet in Sonar 3?
TOO many times have i drawn a volume curve (in the piano roll view) only to later open up the same clip finding that what i had drawn is not there (only by opening up the event window can it be edited, manually). This can be VERY time consuming and tedious. The 'midi pictures' can be seen with the volume curve in it yet when you double click on the picture the volume curve is 'invisible' in the piano roll view. The curve is there, just invisible.
So, does anyone know if this ancient bug has been fixed yet???
I've found nothing on the features list on Cakewalk's Sonar 3 page.

You mean you change the volume in Sonar by drawing a Controller 7? Well, when I "draw" controllers they stay where I want them... You're sure you're not drawing velocities?

But you should really check out envelopes! They're just so much easier to work with than controller data, and already recorded controller data can of course be turned into envelopes! :)

thanx moskus.

Well, i knew i could use the envelopes, but i heard elsewhere they took up more cpu cycles. Doesn't SEEM to make sense huh?!
Anyway, maybe i'm not keeping a closer eye on the controller but its just that i never use anything but volume (i change velocity by clicking on note properties). I do use pan but i do it in the track view via envelopes - maybe (probably) Sonar remembers to stick on the pan envelope even when you go back into the piano roll. Duhhh, i should have realized this and tested more.
Thanx for your reply..
