Almost....... I got my notification that it arrives tomorrow.

From the other boards I see the East Coast is getting their copies with a 645 page manual. Anyone out there got some initial impressions?

I guess if the board is dead tomorrow I will know where everyone is.

Argh for being on the west coast. no notification of actual date yet...ARGH! Can't wait much longer!

I live in Seattle and got the message today that it was shipped. Oughta be here in a couple of days.

Report back as soon as you've installed it!

Give us pictures!!!! :) :) :)

I hate you all...:o

I have to wait a little bit. I've been going a little money crazy these days. I think it's bullshit that there has to be an end to the amount one can spend...:D

If I'm wondering if I should actually eat lunch today...I know I shouldn't be buying anything with a computer/music/audio slant!!!!

Moskus, I will do. The package is in California and should be here 10 AM my time, not sure what time that is for you, maybe midnight?

kgirl72 , here's the real deal. The product always has some weird bug that drives everybody nuts and it takes them about 3 months to shake it down and offer up a service release. Generally I do not pop for Cakewalk products right out of the shoot but I need the new submix capability right away for some work I am doing. So, I thought I would jump in early.

In the past though, it has never been a bad idea to wait on the product a few months. Less frustration. You can't eat software so have a nice lunch.

I'll offer up some initial comments this afternoon after I get it up and running.

Add 6 hours, that will be 2 PM. So by the time I come home from work tomorrow (01 PM) you have installed and and posted pictures and a user review? ;)

Middleman, I know, you're right!

I'm a little worried about upgrade prices rising sometime...don't know but I don't want them to!

Thanks, Moskus!

I made that several months ago on a bored day at work and sent it to all my friends. Actually looks like me a bit...my hair's a lot longer now tho. She's prettier, too. Damn bitch.
:D

I have since retired myself from using nearly as much photoshop and illustrator, etc, etc. I had to use those programs so much in advertising classes, I've all but dropped my interest in cg (comp graphics) though I will say I used to read about that stuff like I do now about recording. Thousands on books, mags, tons of time on tutorials. Funny how I dropped that hobby when I had some time for the recording one, which is much nearer to my heart.

But, thanks again. Makes me happy.

Wow, that Avatar really alters my image of your persona. I mean going from a pink pig to Laura Croft is quite a leap.

Ok, now back to the original subject.

Speaking of avatars, I can only see people's when I am NOT logged in - kind of weird, I would think it would be the opposite.

That's probably becuase you have your profile set to not display avatar's. Go into your profile and reset it and you'll see avatar's both while you're logged in and while you're not logged in. (Assuming that is what you want.) :)

Well, eventually we'll get back to the current subject. Yeah, that pink pig is JigglyPuff from Pokemon. She had a little microphone, because she sings, and when she sings, she puts people to sleep...and other pokemon. Very tough to win a battle against that little pig if you're another pokemon.

I have a 7 year old, so I know these things...they didn't have anything that looked right on that humongo list of avatars, so that is the closest thing I could find.

I'm having problems with Sluice's avatar...I've begun to think that's what he looks like, and worse, I feel like I've seen that picture before...maybe in a Photoshop Bible book once, or one of those tutorial books. If it wasn't THAT pic, it was one VERY similar.

Sluice, you're a funky lookin' dude.
:p

Oh yeah, profile. I think I've heard of that thing. :)
