Hey---stupid question of the day here.

I was looking into purchasing cakewalkxl when I saw the competitive upgrade for 200 beans. Am I to understand that this is not a stand alone product.

Not sure what you mean by standalone product. It is the complete, full working version. However, you will need to own the qualifying product(s) in order to take advantage of it.
