BM - I imagine there's a lot of truth to what you say. However, the help file is included with the demo and as best as I can tell it is pretty much looks the same as the printed manual. The tutorials are also included in the help file (without the related audio files, of course).
It's a difficult balance to strike - i.e., the need for some type of manual to learn to use the demo so you can properly evaluate it, versus keeping the manual restricted so people will actually buy (rather than steal) the program. I don't envy the people at CW (or at any other software company).
I give CW a lot of credit for not having resorted to severe copy protection measures on their products, and for also keeping their price "reasonable." Take Waves Ltd, for ex., not only do they price their products outrageously, but they also deploy quite severe copy protection measures (all of which are cracked within days of release anyway, so who's kidding who).
