Hoping someone can help me here.
To record I use Magix Music Studio 2005 Deluxe - not very fancy but it's all I need at the moment.
I was using an the older Studio 7 version but recently "upgraded" and it's all been working fine up until a few days ago.
My PC started acting weird, lost the graphics and was slowing down. I figured it was time to re-format and as I have two PC's I decided not to put my music PC on the net and use it purely for music. Which I did.
Everything installed fine and I was was ready to record, but for some reason Studio 2005 is not having any of it.
When I play back tracks it either cuts in and out or slows down for a few seconds as it's playing and then returns to normal. Also when I record it slows down thus the vocals recorded end up in the wrong place.
I tested the same projects with Studio 7 and this doesn't happen, so what's wrong with 2005? If anything I thought it would be working better seeing as I cleared out all the junk and al my PC holds is my music software (wavelab and a few others) and the projects I'm working on.
I have 384 MB of Ram and a 80 Gig Hard-drive.
I also run Creative Live! Platinum just incase it's of any relevance.
Everything else is working fine, so what is causing the program to mess up like this?
Any advice would be appreciated.
