we don't need rest!!
I just put this old pic on my hard drive, to try and clean it up, and I also happened to post this pic on another forum thread, and thought it might be interesting to post it here...since we can post pics of our studio here...eh?

anyway...this is a pic of my setup about 25 yrs ago, and hopefully comes thru ok....pre digital camera now!!;)
so....the ole Teac a3340s sits off to the side, being my main machine at the time of the pic, and the rack holds the Fairchild mic preamps, and old tube compressors that were all patched thru the bay there too. The board had good ole Langevin EQs and decent faders. Incidently, this board recorded some hits like Glen Campbells, "Galvaston", and a couple others. I was its third owner by the mid seventies. As stated in my other post, I wouldn't pay much for the equipment now, but then I thought it was the 'cats meow'....

I need pics of my newer setup...but it looks so *midget* as compared to what I had then..all DAW and stuff...ya know??:p

damn...I did this on the last thread...
here's the pic

Still looks pretty cool to me (but then again, I'm easily impressed).:D

Horrortones?

Is that a pair of Horrotones (aurotones) on top of the main monitors..long ago in the days before NS10s!

nope ..auratone copies....the real deal came not much later...along with the jbl4311's. The main are custom monitors also...

What's in the rack, ENIAC or UNIVAC?

Hey, that room's cool. Really homey. What's old fashioned about an a3440, anyway?

I'll dig up some older, 'vintage' pics of my setup, soon.;)
