David, the song sounds good . The first note out of the gate is off though. I think it detracts by leaving a so so 1st impression.

Have to agree about the first note. Need to tweak that.

I like what you've done with the lead vocal. Nice tone. Sits nicely.
I wish I could get that sound.

Lead guitar sounds good - but a little hot during the quieter passages.

The arpeggio guitar needs to come up during lead guitar parts - but blends well during vocal parts.

IMO the drums need some tweaking. I want to hear less snare and more hi-hat. The hi-hat sounds a little dull - maybe some hi-end eq. Drums sound better during the "heavier" sections.

Good job. Good tune.

Yep, thats some good stuff.....youve made your ways back to the 80's......

that first note does sound a tad off.....

theres a few sopts where its hard to make out the lyrics (mostly in that first section where the vocal is real soft).....but youre from Mississippi, so Ill let that pass...

those background vocals coming in (like "make me crazy" @ 2:53) need to be pushed back some...they are too upfront.....take some lows out and chorus them out.....make a few more passes of it and add them all in....(dont go Voxvendor on me and do 100 tracks of bg vocals, but the more the better)

honestly, the writing and recording are the best Ive heard from you yet.....it seems youve stepped up a notch sonically...what are you doing different?.....

I keep listening and this is just awesome....

....whats the secret.....

and in the first 2 seconds theres some misc. noise that you can mute.....Im being picky but this one is SO close......

By golly, you got your fingers on it. Sounds like your almost ready to close them around it. The drums are gettin really nice. Somebody mentioned the high hat, hearing a little more slice and tick in it would be good. I like to hear a little more wood on the kick, but it was good. The bass was clean and big (my kinda likin) . I like the lead guitar sound, the rythym was "honkin" a little too much for me kinda like strat bridge pickup, I just like a little smoother and warmer. The vocal is gettin quite signature in the delivery and the sound, I like it a little more up front. The delay sounded good to me.

yayyyyyyyyy! :)

Smokepole, (hey I like that handle hehe) yeah I agree that first note gots to go. Thanks Joe.

bpoco, I'll check that lead gtr on the quieter passages, I kinda thought it might be. I'm making notes of this stuff, thanks a ton man.

Gidge,..."but youre from Mississippi, so Ill let that pass" Thanks alot fucker:D . Haha, yep I almost pm'ed you this afternoon to see if you would mind listening to this...I know how "80's" you are:cool: . Hey that was my first shot at bg vocals man...go easy on me. But yeah I'll see if i can blend them a little better. Thanks!

Toki987, Man I figured you would of torn me apart on that bass:confused: . I took up the bass just 4/5 yrs ago because my bass player got to wasted to play the damn thing. I don't consider myself a guitar player much less a bass player:) , but thanks just the same.

undiluted rock and roll! this is a good one.. the vocals are excellent!

my only beef is with the drums.. the song started rough and there were some tempo problems late on.. other than that, I listened to this tune 5 times and liked it more and more with each listen..

diggin' it..

HaHa! Take me back! You nailed this one. Excellent vocal performance.

Cool stuff

That's the kind of Rock music I remember & love.

I'm kinda hearing a little Bad Company action there. I think it's the vox. Very nice.

Is this your song? If so it's a keeper for me (especially if you change that first note :p) :D

Nice work.

Good song, I really liked the slow parts. Drums sounded great.

I expected to hear that ttrademark peeling guitar (boss od through a marshall?). The peeling was there but I liked the guitar tone on the last couple better.

Great guitar work as always.

Doug

Bad Company and Whitesnake come to mind.(I dont why whitesnake did....just did). This like Unadulterated Rock-N-Roll man.Im diggin it big time.....I really like the guitar tone and the vocals of course.

This is the real kind of stuff that todays music is LACKING!

Man you write some honest straight up Rock n Roll.

Do you still gig?

The candy poppers wont like this but Im gettin off on it big time.

5 STARS dude!

this is good stuff david..........nice song

yeah, i agree about the first note..........there are a few others in that first section too......maybe just re-track that first solo........great tone though.......the second solo is very nice

hey, David:

Good stuff, man. The lead guitar has a real nice tone, but I think it will benefit if it was stereo, adding some panned reverb or delay might do it. Clean recording, and nice performance as well.
I downloaded some other mp3s of yours, Nice Voice!!!

Good job!

btw, did you get my email?

sorry guys

i've got a full blown dose of the flu going on since yesterday...i'll be back.

Fight it man!! Get up and record something, use that innate nostral reverb:D  :p

Anyway,

Hope you feel better soon.

I dig your vox and lead git

Heard some timing issues and such but overall, this song is strong and needs just a few tweeks to get even more buff!!

Thanks for the listen,

Peace,
Theron.

i've got a full blown dose of the flu going on since yesterday...

Same here  The shivers, body aches, and coughing up green stuff... yikes :o Get well, soon...

Power ballad extraordinaire. Good emotion... hair metal... Def Leppard when it kicks in! Everything is well played. Great performance.

I'm thinking the lead gtr is mixed a bit too loud... might also benefit from some compression. Overall, this mix seems very clean... but maybe too dry.

The lead gtr needs some compression, IMO. Either that or a large reverb... (they do two different things; one brings it closer, the other makes it further away) If you do compress, try mixing it lower.

In the louder parts, the rhy guits could come up about 2db... needs more bite.

Some emotional background vox, as well as some doubling in the choruses would help the arrangement, too.

Nice! Good talent.

...man thats a great guitar tone on the intro....whew...!.
vocals seem real "upfront" but not overly so...wow nice work.
bass drum is godd and *thumpy*:D..man the guitar work on this is great !!...the vocals you already know how i feel about those...
but especially i like the guitar chunkies in the verses .....really cool..HARMONIC SQUEAL!!!.....hehehehe..man the whole thing starts out real slow and melodic..then turns into this full on rocker..!!...it seems lik ewhen its slowing back down the drums seem to lag a little bit......come on man.....i know its coming ...that kick ass high warm vocal!!!......ok i got a taste of it...lol...:)

very cool.
jamal..(stopping by the post office in the morning).
