Someone out there please help

Just starting out new to things. Ive recorded before but at other people studio. I recently decided to start my own studio. Question im trying to hear only the beats through the head phones can some help me with this? i am recording via condensor mic , computer and a preamp. HELP PLEASE!!!!

does your program have a aux bus option in the mixer? thats what I do to get my mix in the headphones that I want to hear
