Allright, AMD is shipping bad fans with their p[rocessors, be on the lookout! I ordered an AMD, fan didn't work. Returned it, got another, fan didin't work. At this point I assume its the motherboard, so I'm stressing out. I get a 3rd AMD processor, and the fan finally works. The 1st two were faulty. Geez.
Heres my problem NOW. With the 1st 2 processors, I got my single "good" beep and video support. Now I get no beep and no video. I put a different processor in, and no beep still, at all. Tried a dif speaker, too... no beep.
Anyone have any idea whatsoever?
Thanks!

So, you mean now when you turn it on, it powers up, fan spins etc, but no video?

Strange but not unusual. What kind of motherboard? Try reseating your video card (if there is one, not built-in?) and RAM. You could also try clearing the CMOS by putting the jumper on for a few seconds. This is usually located near the big CMOS chip with the shiny label - usually says AWARD on it. Clear the CMOS with the power off and then move the jumper back to it's original location before powering up.

Slackmaster's 1st rule of troubleshooting: never assume that two problems are related.

1) It could be that you don't have your keyboard plugged in, or you have the keyboard and mouse in the wrong PS/2 ports. On many systems, this will cause behavior similar to what you've described. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's scared the crap out of me on several occasions.

2) You might have fried your motherboard. Horf!

3) The new CPU might be faulty. Horf! Make sure that you didn't crack the processor die when installing the heatsink/fan.

4) Make sure that your memory sticks are all seated firmly.

5) Make sure that all of your AGP/PCI cards are seated firmly. Remove all cards except for the video card just to be safe. You can also disconnect all IDE devices and the floppy drive, and just try getting a simple processor/memory/video configuration working.

6) Make sure that your monitor is connected to the video card and is turned on. Horf!

What kind of sound does the machine make when you fire it up? Do all the fans and hard drives start spinning? Does the CDROM power up? Or does the machine just kind of sit there in a half ass kind of state with just the power supply fan spinning?

If you try and try but simply cannot get the thing to boot, then try resetting the CMOS (see your manual for the procedure). If that doesn't work, assume that the processor is faulty and get it replaced.

Someone else said that I may have shifted the board changing that dreaded heatsink and it might be grounded. I'm gonna try to check that 1st. Everything is seated fine, and I took out everything and reseated it. The problem started with the new CPU. Now a different CPU wont work either. I don;t see where the CMOS will affect anything, but I may try that as a last resort. Its never been fully booted, but at least I got beeps before, now I get nothing. Freaking out a little, this one has been a bitch non stop.
