Some tunes I`m working on.

The vocals sound great. The second sample has parts where the music gets loud and the vocals become hard to hear, but the sound quality is excellent.
 
Lovely Sheer Heart Attack touches to test one. Nice sounding vox!
Test two - charges on from a Tullesque groove & instrumentation - the vocals are a tiny bit too quiet for me to hear clearly - the colour of the vox is very 70's hard/prog which is what you're after so it's definitely a goer for me!
 
I liked "Time to Play." I wanted to hear a chorus. Not sure if that's Soundclick cutting me off the track at 30 secs or the amount of song you've got...? I'd definitely like to hear more. It takes me back to seventies English Hawkwind and YEs and bands like that which I like listening to.
 
Vintage!!!! You really are able to nail that 70's prog sound, man. Everything sounds perfect for what you're going for. I'd just bring up the vocals, volume-wise.
 
I liked the second song better (it's harder...:D).
Sounds like vintage Uriah Heep with that organ swaying away....
I thought the drums sounded a bit too muffled although the sound is very 70's. Vocals sound Ok to me. Overall you just need to tweak a little and the songs are done.

I thought the volume was low on the recording but that's better than being too loud...:D It's hard to say whether the vocals were too low until you really crank the volume - arena style :cool:. Both pieces were great and have that Nak magic to them. The mic seems to have built in compression - very even and smooth. Nice sounding.... Did you borrow or rent or buy a U87?

I borrowed the Neuman and the tla mic preamp, I`m really likin both of them.
I also borrowed akg414`s on the drum takes and some UA solo 610`s to got with em.

I have rich friends:D
 
Love test2!!!...a bit Tull, a bit Focus... vocals sound like Fish from Marrillion. Really cool Nak, I always love listening to your music...
