I am using a:
P4 1.6GHz
512 DDR RAM
Win XP Home
60GB HD
Sonar 4.01PE
Audiophile 2496 PCI
Just upgraded to Sonar 4 from 2.2XL, wow, great changes. BUT, when I am in the middle of playback and I switch between the track view and console view, it takes a long time to show up on screen (playback is not interrupted, but all I have on screen is an hourglass and I can't do anything for a good minute or more sometimes).
What settings should I adjust? Do I need more RAM? A faster CPU? I am planning on installing a second HD dedicated to audio files.
Help me please!!!
