Had a fun time with these guys. They're all 16 and 17 I think. Pretty much was a high school party the entire time they were here. Except one of them had their mom with them.

Anyway. Rock hardcore metal shizz.

The bottom end is probably all messed up. Because that stuff is hard to do for me. I'll have to listen to it out in my car probably a couple times but thought I'd post it here for comments. :)

Guitars sound cool.
Could do with a scoop around 200-300Hz maybe.
The mix as a whole is a little muddy. The snare could be boosted around 3-5K.
The mix sounds a bit weak, but it could sound nice with some tweaking.

Could you print out the lyrics for me? I'd like to see how many words I got right.

The only part I know is the chorus, and that's because they were trying to get the other members to sing it instead of having their singer scream it. Haha.

not bad. snare really needs improvement.

for any sort of metal you need a snare sound that eats your face. otherwise it sounds impotent. (yes, impotent)

try playing with the highs and mic'ing it from the bottom next time.

cut the highs in the cymbals and raise them in the guitars, you will have a much louder powerful sound as a whole.

Raw raw paw raw
Raw raw rot raw
Raw raw rot raw
Raw raw rot raw

(repeat x4)

Disclaimer: I'm trying to give some constructive criticism: don't take anything the wrong way :)

As far as levels go, I can hear everything, but like other people said, it's kinda muddy and dull. The guitars sound like the tone wasn't too amazing to begin with. Maybe try scooping the mids just a little bit. Or maybe not, I'd have to mess with it. They're just really "behind a pillow" sounding.

Bass drum might do with some cutting in the 400hz range. Sounds kinda cardboardy. Same with the snare.

What program are you using? Also, what gear?

The difference in the post above is that I had two mics on each cab, a 57 or e609 and a d112. I had the d112 to add to the chugs and stuff, but I think all it did was muddy everything up. So I muted them and pulled up the 57 and 609 mic and hopefully that will make a difference.

It's better for sure. I still think the original tone from the amp is/was probably shit, which has a lot to do with your problems, but it cleaned stuff up to bump the 57 for sure

They apparently all loved Crate amps. Because they all used them.

I asked them if they wanted to rent a mesa/boogie or marshall instead for recording and they declined. :(

Alas.

Thanks for the compliments on the mix. Which song did you listen to to?
