Here is a link to my latest work. I guess i would classify it as apocalyptic death metal with a harcore tinge to it. Comments on song and mix are welcome. I have been out of the recording game for awhile because i sold all of my gear, but now i am back and happy as ever. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Song is unfinished hence the small sample.

What style of "heavy" do you usually play?

And if you sold all your gear what do you use now? Anyway.. it is really, really annoying to click an mp3 link and see it load an m3u, wiping my playlist clean. Just for future reference.

The clip seems well done. I have done the death thing myself, and it's fun mostly as a joke. Normally I am into more melodic metal (see my tag). Anyway I don't have any real criticisms about the production, as I've heard worse in the genre.

thanx

Uuummm, to be honest i normally do more nu metal, rock, and straight ahead kind of modern metal. So this is kinda extreme for me. I don't know what the m3u thing you are speaking about is. I just upload my songs at the recording project and post a link to that...maybe that is the problem???? I am not really up on computers...i surf the net, and that is the extent of my PC knowledge. So you think the mix is alright as is???? I think it sounds good, but i want to try and get it sounding the best i can...so any other comments are welcome. Speaking of melodic metal i just went to sounds of the underground and i hung with In Flames...very cool guys.

Oh, i forgot to mention that i sold all of my recording gear, and then bought it all back. I needed money sold it all, and then basically bought the same setup with better monitors. Kinda sucks, but i am just happy to be recording again.

cool man.. gotta love bjorn's beard right.. I've seen in flames twice.. once in germany and once in helsinki finland. both awesome shows.

what I meant was a direct link to the mp3 would have been better than using that board's streaming thingamajiggie..

Oh, Gotcha now. Next time i will. Later.

In Flames always puts on great shows. I love that band.

I have to say from the outset that I just can't get into this style of metal - I know it's popular & often well done but I guess I'm too old.
the kick drum doesn't seem to be anything more than flick the aluminium sheet that is the inside seal on a can of Milo.
The playing guitar wise is pretty good. Too fast & furious to hear clearly.
I'd actually like to hear a longer sample - really the whole song so I could comment better.
I'd actually like to hear your less in my face stuff - I'll drop in your other stuff when I can.
