I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions on a good set of starter plugins? I am currently just running my stock plugins that came with logic, and I feel my recordings would improve substantially with some more professional/advanced plugins.

Thanks! Drew

Look for the Kjaehus Classic series, they are good sounding and free. Also, search through the boards for other similar threads. This gets asked fairly often.

Oh, and if you're don't mind paying, then definitely get the UAD stuff.

peace,

It's worth looking at the plugins that Chili mentions. However, the Logic plugins are very respectable, and you should be able to get good results using them.

That wont help him as those are WINDOWS ONLY plugins and he's running Logic on a Mac.

Seriously Drew, Logic plugins are top quality (used on major releases by top artists) so the ball is in your court and you just need to learn how to use them...

I forgot about Logic being on Mac, because I still occasionally use Logic on Windows. I agree about the quality of Logic plug-ins.
