Is there any SOFTWARE that can traslate SMPTE data into MTC, so I won't need any hardware SMPTE-to-MTC converter to sync my Fostex M80 with the sequencer ?
One question arises: Do you really have recordings on a tape with SMPTE without having the hardware to create SMPTE sync?
That has to be a rather unusual situation.
I'm only trying to find a cheap solution for SMPTE synchronization of my Fostex M80 with Nuendo, without needing a hardwate converter. Actually I found a software to do the job but it is for SAW Plus only ...
Then you probably don't need SMPTE, which typically is a bit more expensive and complicated to use than other types of sync. I don't know if software fo that is availiable either, I wouldn't trust it anyhow, but you might find more luck there.
