I hope someone can provide some direction. I use Logic Express for my recording software and normally do my own recording away from the band which means I need software drums. I was looking at adding battery 3 to my MAC but my question is...

Will this work with the Logic Express and if so, how does the setup work when adding a drum track from Battrery 3 to an instrument track in Logic Express.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure 100% whether it works with Logic Express, but I can't see why not.

I have Battery however (I use Cubase), so can tell you a bit about how it works.

Basically it plays audio samples of drums, according to what it is told from the midi editor.

In the case of Cubase, you add it as a VST instrument, and use the midi map to place the hits where you want them. Simple as that really. From what I hear of Logic, it deals pretty well with midi and the process should be pretty much the same. I think...

So basically, you don't go into Battery independantly to make the drums as such, but add Battery as a plugin to your sequencer (in your case, Logic Express) and use it like a synth or instrument.

That said, I am just speaking from my knowledge of Battery, and very little knowledge of Logic Express. So I'm sure someone may be able to put it better.

Hope it helps anyway :)
