Hi everyone,
my wife's brother is from and in Indonesia and he originally had around $10,000 worth of recording software, virtual instrument plugins, effects, samplers, and samples because he could find illegal 'crack' files for all that stuff. People in Indonesia stopped doing that mostly, he says, because the creators started using algorithms that searched where music is posted and could tell they'd been created that way and that getting the real recording software, virtual instruments, and samplers weren't that expensive anymore. He says you just had to be in the loop for when they'd have various sales. It would be nice to figure out how to do that. Of course I could ask him but thought I'd run it by you guys first.
Currently, I just want to sequence some drums, bass, and guitar parts in the style of the Red Hot Chili Peppers with the computer that I've got for compositional purposes. All my gear is currently in Indonesia. It would be nice to have a version of Cubase to sequence them, a virtual drum plugin, virtual bass plugin, virtual guitar plugin, along with a guitar effects plugin for my new computer here in the U.S. I've got a Dell Inspiron 12th Generation i7 running at 1.7 Ghz, with Windows 11, 16 GB of RAM. Know of any deals to pull all this stuff together without spending too much of my hard earned money? Thanks.
