software error (Reason)

I have reason adapted for m-audio, which came with my soundcard and for some reason when i went to open reason it said that there was error and it couldn't find the "engine." I then uninstalled and reinstalled reason but it still had the same error. What is wrong?

I don't have an answer, only sympathy--my Adapted CD isn't even recognized.
