I just got a SB Live Value card and installed the KXdrivers instead of the original SB dirvers - thats for low latency.
I'm running win98 sec. , currently on a P3 300 with 96 Mb RAM.
I set latency to 2.6 ms (great!) but when using softsynths such as NI B4 or FM7 the sound gets distorted, and somtimes "cut".
On each of the softwares, when I go the the "ASIO Setting" windows (through the "Audio Setting" menu option) and change the buffer size from 128 (maximun allowed by software) to lower, the sound gets more distorted and more "cut", while at some point it is just looped... So I guess that if was a possibe to make the buffer size larger (more than 128 samples) the sound would get clear and correct. Is this the right direction for solving the problem ?
What should I do ?
