Simply because I haven't posted anything I've done of late.
I have three irons in the fire but others are lifting the hammer (or hopefully will be).
In desperation & relative boredome (avoiding those things I ought to be doing) I cobbled together a quick vid for Softdance:

If you have any ideas, suggestions or comments please leave them here or there.
Cheers

Hi Ray - Cool video - I know the lyrics by heart but never clicked on to the Morrison connection (duh)... Anyway good job and good thing to keep your fingers in the mix....

Cool. Rami kicked ass in that song.

Nice work, as usual - and I think the visual element lends itself to your lyrics. It's another layer of meaning, and sometimes I feel as if I'm seeing clues and hints to a different subtext.

Great song and nice video, Ray!
I loved those dancing indians......and the pics of the dead blues greats in the end:D Your songs always have such meaningfull and classy lyrics. Some great playing there too, by everybody involved. Nice!

Joey :):):):)

Awsome Ray...

That vid is real clever.

I love the vintage feel it gives, it takes your a real nice together with the tune:cool:

Great work mate

Thanks folks,
It needs a lot of work but when I tried to tweak it before posting the prog would freeze. I did some little tweaks today: the indian doesn't freeze now & I've made Jim less obvious until a minute or so into the song so that I've not laid the story open too soon.
Rami does a great job on this - the drums sound much, much better than the ytube flv will allow. Most of the guitars are Marshall Superbass saturated tubes (using a TubeCube so I didn't bleed from my ears) & Morrison Big Fluff crunch mic'd.
Terry's sax works well - it usually does - it's broken at present though!!!!
The Morrison connection was through inuendo & a few phrases & titles ripped from the Doors. Terry, myself & our 1985 drummer sat dwn & write a line each until the lyric was done. The drummer promptly left the band leaving T & Me so we simple excized his lines & you have what you have.
I resisted doing thsi one for yonks because I knew I'd be too obvious - & I was. C'est l'guerre!
Well, at least it gave me something semi creative to do in the last official of day of my 2 week hols.
If I get a chance to post the slightly revised version on the tube I'll drop a link here.
Cheers & THANKS
ray

This'll take you to an HQ version supposedly. I took the project to another compter but had the same freeze probs BUT managed to get a couple of things smoothed.
Thanks for the kinds words - this ought to've been better. I'll have to look at a new editing prog I suppose.

Yo Ray...I don't think that youtube sound is so great, obviously...but I liked it...good work. Video makin' too huh?

Thanks for dropping in to look at it. Not too flash but it was something to keep me occupied. Ta for the kind words.

Nice work, Ray!

I can work on the same audio a thousand times over, but I've absolutely no patience for video ... so I admire folks who can do it.

Kev-

the link for me gets the YouTube home page, or whatever:confused:
