Holy mother wow WTF?

I wonder how it sounds after all of that!:D

I only believe the psycho crew at the Analog Forum fit that description.

You are all on my ignore list to make browsing this Forum more useful.

Works for me.

Would someone please tell me what drstawl said? He's on my ignore list so I can't read it. :D

Hey, drstawl, did you know that In Italy all the houses are made in bricks?
well, now you do.
keep on browsing. :D

...ah yes, the Italian Godzilla sub. I posted that one on a few forii, and the reaction was about the same as here..:D

I do like the spec of 6400W peak and the cheerful description of how most likely nothing would survive or be left standing if you decided to go all the way.

The 'Egyptian Tomb' approach to digging the chambers is lovely too. I am sure that once it is installed, you will have no problems with rodents in the basement....

Best,
C.

I was looking at this 'project' over and over again and never got bored. Then I sort of said to my self: "Huh, I thought I am a crazy audio freak. >>>> not even close. >>> :o:o:o"

btw, do not miss there on the bottom - the RECORDING gear! :p:p:p

And how about this for vibration isolation...

air filled cushion -> granite block -> padding -> springs -> CD player -> padding -> two granite blocks

And this isn't even for a turntable, but a CD player!!!

INSANE! At least it makes sense, unlike drstawl. He must've been a real-life extra in the movie "Idiocracy":D

I just ordered one of those subwoofer gadgets for my car. :D

Well . . . that subwoofer system got me to thinking: Our house has a real wood floor, with a crawl-space underneath. All that space just goes to waste. And, we are currently refinishing the floor, so I would be able to blend in a few "modifications" here and there. . .

Besides, given that one of my hobbies is repairing and restoring early McIntosh Labs solid-state amplifiers, I should be easily able to provide plenty of amplifier horsepower for a nifty system. . . :D

N7SC,

Actually, for movie effects purposes, mounting subs under the floor could have benefits (as long as everything is rigid enough not to 'sing along' when the subs kick in.)

This is your chance, man, don't wait 'til the floor is sealed again :D This is the one place your wife would never look...

Best,
C.
