I have a Groove tubes GT-66 and a Brick pre. . .
Don't like the sound of the 66 through the brick, but would like to keep both the brick and the 66. . .so how do you think a RE-20 would sound through the brick? Compliment. . .or no. Anybody used this combo?
Thanks

Depends on the source. The Brick only has 55dB of gain, which is probably not enough for soft vocals with the RE20, due to that mic's low relative output. For guitar amps, drums, etc., I'd say go for it. I use the RE20 through the Brick for kick drum all the time and like the sound.

The RE20 is a good mic investment, regardless.

i'd probably try to get a good LDC to go along with the brick myself, but i guess it depends on what you're going to be recording

Re-20

Gonna use it on vocals. . .broadcasting. . .maybe conga and guitar.
