i just finished putting carpet on basically every surface of my small bathroom....just toilet space basically.

but, it sounds very dead (good), but still kinda bassy to me, more bassy then it does standing in my bigger basement. can i just pile pillows in the corner to take care of this? or make a really DIY.. (i mean really diy...) kind of bass trap?

scott

Carpet absorbes High frequencies, not low frequencies.
So, if you carpeted your bathroom, then yeah, that's what you got!
Sorry, I don't know how to remedy the situation, maybe someone that does will chime in.

scott - you could start by putting the pillows in the ceiling?? That's the only space you'll get depth for low frequency absorption.

cheers

ok...i'll try that...

what happens if i DONT do anything else though? will my vox/guitar done in the room just sound a lot more bassy? perhaps that is what i want for some things...?

please?

haha

will this bass be "bad" in my recordings? haha

.....and in the corners if you have enough pillows to go around. Start at the ceiling and work your way down.
