:)Gear so far ...
Dual-core PC, 1GB RAM, plenty of space, acoustic and electric guitars all in working order, Behringer C-1 microphone, Shure SM58 as well.
Software - Adobe Audition 2 (quit yer groanin, works for me)
Interface - MobilePre USB
I've done a lot of recording (three albums, two EPs) but still feel like a bit of a newbie. Having recorded all the old stuff I'm moving on and feel dissatisfied with the interface I'm using - so I'd like friendly advice on the matter. The software/mic setup gives me a good clean vocal sound, but over the headphones (bog standard, Sennheiser) when I'm overdubbing I have to grit my teeth, as what I'm hearing is always distorted, although the recorded sound is great. Also because I have to do it all meself, do people use any kind of shielding to stop their Tele/Strat/Godin/whatever from buzzing when DI'd and next to the PC or do I need to man up and move further away?
Great to talk about this stuff
Thanks - Andrew Walker:o
