This is a nice rock metal numetal whatever tune... It starts getting hard to categorize some of my stuff. Everybody was put on high dosages of prescription drugs as kids right? LOL!!! Everything has a cure but at what cost, I think I was a guinea pig for this stuff...

Anyway, this tune has a lot going on vocally, Harmonies(natural).. I gave myself high fives for doing the high pitched vocals...
 
Nice drums, and percussive guitars. I like the tune, as usual... :D

Vocals seem a bit outfront at times...sort of dry. Not horrible man, but not like some of the other stuff you've done. And, they are well done. Most of teh time, they sit fine, but a few places, they don't seem quite as well placed. (this is a small nit, just comparing to some of your previous stuff..)

Nice tune though man...when you get it polished up, it will be killer. :cool:
 
The only thing I can point to is the vocal level. The balance between the 2 vocals is excellent but they are quite loud in relation to the backing, well at least in the quieter verse passages.
Excellent song & playing the click of the bass drum is almost automatic rifle like - very cool.
 
I'm gonna go back and check the vocal levels. Make sure to even out the different styles so they are more in line with eachother...

I think maybe the vox are a db to loud... That is maybe why they seem out front. I do use reverb(a bit) to get them to sort of sit with the music. Maybe I'll boost it a bit more or lengthen the reverb a bit.

I updated the mix. I also changed the mastering compression a bit to do a bit less squashing... I changed up the EQ a bit on the vocals to get rid of the mud. Also lighted up on the DeEssing so the S's are still present and don't get lost totally. Also, got rid of one of the doubled vocals for some contrast during the verse. Leveled out the vocals so they arn't so far above the music too.
 
Hey Monkey, vox sound good now, seem to fit in the mix well.
The chorus is real cool.
I think in the last chorus, a lead guitar playing that same vocal line would sound cool too.
Mix sounds very good to my ears, nothing sticks out to me.

I ended up doing a couple things with the vocals. Mainly, I was routing things wrong so there was still quite a bit of dry vocal in there. I may just do that with a melody guitar or something... I never really thought about that, but I've actually done that in the past on a different song by accident and it sounded awsome.

The only thing I may do is just make the reverb a shorter time... Thats it probably...
 
I updated The Poison. I did a four part harmony during the Chorus. Before it was just a 3 part, I think what I added would be considdered a 5th major or something. I think it sounds pretty good, especially compared to the processors(hardware and software) that I have tried and didn't really care for. It is more work doing it yourself but it seems to yield better results.
