I didn't hear the first version, so I can't make a comparison.
I thought the singer had a nice voice. Oh then the male voice comes in. Good voice there too.
That sparkly keyboard part that's prominent in the intro is a little "sharp" sounding. Not "sharp" as in off-key - it's got just a little sting to it. Something tells me you can make an EQ cut somewhere (if I had to guess, it'd be about 3Khz) to mellow that out just a bit.
I'm hearing some distortion on the left side off and on during the first 1:20 or so.
I'm on headphones, so this is a total guess. But I'm thinking you can get more out of that bass. This song really needs a powerful low end, and I don't think it's quite there.
Swell in volume at around 1:40-ish. The volume in the verse coming out of that section is seemingly louder than the volume of earlier verses.
Lyrically, I might suggest wordsmithing some of those lines. There's a bit of cramming lots of syllables into a fixed space. Some of the lines seem a little clumsy as a result. Strictly my opinion of course.
Focusing on too many negatives... The mix is better than what my comments might imply. There's a nice keyboard part underneath everything that seems to be working well.
My thoughts.
