Hello, I just can't figure this out, can the Roland VS-1880 record and send every track on different channels??

I'm in the process of looking for an interface to record drums and I want to do it right, I have a mixer (Behringer X1222 usb) but it only has 2 outputs, meaning it will put everything together in 1 or 2 tracks.

The VS 1800 is not my main choice but since I can get it cheap (maybe) I want to know this, thanks!!

You can always record to the 1880, then export the tracks to a CD and import them into the computer.

There are 8 outputs and I think you can route the inputs to the outputs, but that is a really long way to go for outdated crap. Getting a proper interface would be the way to go.

good source of info on this here:

do several searches first, to see if the question has already been answered.

the VS machines sound great, but are quite long in the tooth, and not many folks frequent the individual forums anymore

i had an 1880, and if i remember correctly,
8 tracks of simultaneous recording.

VS-1880: 24-bit Digital Studio Workstation | Roland U.S.

if you don't have a manual, you should get on line and find one.
there's no way in the world anyone would figure out how to run this machine without a manual.

all of the buttons have multiple functions, and work in specific order
