vented snares are one of the worst "inventions" in drumming history, even worse than the pedal-detunable Yamaha floor tom.

Give me a well-tuned Supra or Dunnett any day of the week over one of those worthless overpriced pieces of toneless junk.

). I would prefer 3 small holes with grommets just to allow the snare to breath better without taking away the sound of the wood. Vented snares are useless devices that are meant to sell drums, not improve them.
