Snare too hot??? (cymbals?)

Mornin all,
I been playin wiff a new song. Just about to lay down "keeper tracks". But, my son says "Dad, that snare is annoyingly loud". Well, his ears haven't taken the years of electric guitar and skillsaw abuse that mine have. So, would anyone care to enlighten me on the drum balance? If you're brave enough the snippet is at;

You're welcome. I just listened again. You can just barely hear the guitar or other instruments under the vocal and drums. Pretty cool though. Keep at it.

By the way, we had bacon this morning. It was great!
