Snake For Drums

I was thinking of getting a Snake for the Drumset. Is this a good choice?. It seems less wire mess,and quick access.
 
Personally, I like an 8 channel snake with a box that goes to the kit, and using 10 foot mic cables for my hookups from there. I'm not a big fan of drum looms, ie a bunch of cables tied together in custom lengths. Too much stuff changes with drum kits.

My cables are numbered and labelled with what drum they go to.

The way my area is setup. The Drums are infront of the mixer. So a snake from the back bside the Hi Hat. Would work great.

I made up a drumloom for my drummer a couple of years back. Your best option, via a tried n tested style, is to make up a drum loom with 10XLR to XLR cables and 2TRS to TRS and make them atleast 10m long with high quality connectors.

As someone said, drummers often change thier setup and the option of having 2 jacks running inline for them to have thier own monitor feeds or line feeds from triggers n such really does help. As for wrapping, get yourself some heatshrink wrapping.
