I received a unitor8 yesterday with the hope of syncing a 4 track cassette to logic9. I want to be able to bounce the cassette recordings into the computer so they line up with other parts, click track, etc.

I believe have everything set up right and have been able to stripe the tape, but on playing back the tape with ltc logic doesn't kick in.

I have checked the auto external sync, I've tried it with the sync mode set to internal and mtc. I've tried the ltc signal at various volumes and i have the frame rates matched in logic and on the unitor8 control. I have been clicking stripe in the unitor8 control. The flow is setup as:
ltc out -> track 1 in -> track 1 out -> ltc in

I've googled but haven't found a solution. What is going wrong?

Thanks

First thing to check is whether the Unitor is receiving timecode & locking to it. Does the Unitor have a status light or some other way to indicate framelock? If the hardware isn't properly locking to timecode there's no way the software will.

Do you have noise reduction disabled on the sync track of your 4-track?
