Hi, here's a plan for my small tracking room. Don't mind the desk with the monitors, i'm not going to mix there anything important. Also unfortunately the big closet stays there. The room is for acoustic guitar and vocals tracking.
I opened another thread a while ago, but this is a new plan.
Room size: 3.4x2.8x2.6 meters (LxWxH).
Floor is ceramic.
The slat panels are mounted on legs and movable because of the windows, the closet, and the computer desk. I'm not interested in any permanent stuff because the apartment is rented.
The slats are in a random order and spacing, i tried making it as "random" as possible. The slats are 1cm thick, and there are three width's of slats there: 2cm, 5cm and 7cm.
I know of all the slat sequences available, but since i'm not trying to get an accurate stereo image for a control room, and these are panels and not whole walls, i think that for the purpose making the room a bit more lively there is no need for an accurate pattern.
The slat panels that are closer to the recording spot have more absorption surface area then reflection, and the panels that are a bit more distant (near the closet) have a bit more of a reflecting surface area then absorption. I did it because it seems more logical that the close ones will absorb better to avoid strong reflections. Does it make sense?
There are two clouds above the recording area. and two bass traps on corners.
Please point out any comments or suggestions. Thanks!
