when i record through software with my m-audio mobile pre , it records fine and both audacity and cool edit pro recognize it and i have no problems recording with it. but when i go to properties of the software, the playback and recording is set to "microsoft sound mapper, or microsoft sound waver" always. i have my stock soundcard disabled. i was wondering if anyone knew what this was? thanks.
