Just wanted to run this by youse peoples.

One night I discovered my presence boost was not working at all. So, I opened er up and soldered the wire back on the right spot. Not having it very long, I wasn't used to how it sounded....so....I wondered if I did a good enough job reattaching the wire. When the boost is turned on, it is a very small change in the sound. I was just wondering if everyone's is like this. I did a little farting around with it, but I can't tell you what freq. range exactly it affects.

How would you all describe your presence boost ON/OFF. Is it barely noticable or very noticable to you. (Depends on the voice, probably...huh)

Exactly.....Mine is fairly noticeable on all voices though, just some more than others
 
It's not exactly a crucial, "make or break" feature or anything. I wouldn't cry about it (or otherwise lose too much sleep) if I didn't hear a dramatic effect in other words. The bass rolloff is a more useful feature (in certain situations).

You can achieve the same thing with a fairly broad 3-4db boost around 5Khz. Try that and see if it makes a similar difference as your presence switch.
