Sm7 or SM7B?

Is there a significant difference in the sound between an SM7 and an SM7B?

No. The primary difference between the 2 mics is a redesigned armature. For all intents and purposes, they are the same mic.-Richie

I have the SM7B, and its awesome, it is well worth the money (depending on what you're doing with it that is!!!)

I bid on an SM7 last week on Ebay and the guy used an SM7B description so I began doubting it was an SM7 which was a little troubling because I didn't know the difference. I quit bidding cause I didn't want to find out the hard way but from what you guys are saying it's just as well.
