SM57 question

I am using my Yamaha MT3X 4-track as my mixer Stereo Out into PC Line In
I use the MIC trim with my SM57
Would a Mic pre-amp with Phantom Power be OK with SM57 ?

It would be OK...but not nessesary to have the phantom power switched on.

Yup...the 57 is a dynamic mic, no need for phantom power.

Johnny - I'm asking this purely out of curiousity...

You've been here more than 5 years, over 500 posts and you're asking about phantom power and dynamic mics?

I'm assuming your interests must lie in keyboards/programming rather than more "analog" things like guitars / voices?

But seriously, like darrin_h2000 said, it shouldn't hurt anything unless your mic cables are seriously miswired.
