SM Pro Audio TB202 2 Channel Preamp and Compressor

Just out of curiosity where have you heard these good things? (I don't intend to be a smart arse at all). My only experience with SM pro is the PR8 (I think thats the model) and I felt that my old behringer mx2004 sounded better. I don't know if that experience qualifies or not to this scenario, but I am sincere in knowing where the good reports are coming from, it's a great price so I hoping its a sleeper.
 
The good reviews are the reviews at Zzounds, sameday music, and AMS. Go to the product pages and you can read the reviews of people who have purchased it. This thing is a class A preamps with optical compressor, dual channel, and made in Australia.

Hmm. Super-glowing reviews from anonymous users with Hotmail and Yahoo accounts. Makes one wonder. Personally, I find it a good rule of thumb to stay away from anything with "Pro" in the product or manufacturer name. It's amazing how well that rule holds up over time.

I'd say approach with caution.
