Last year I made a switch from my old Powermac 4400 (RIP) to a PC. On the Mac, I had a piece of software called the Amazing Slow Downer which could slower an audio file down for me to practice with. Is there any software like that for Windows? I have Any Time, but it takes forever to do anything. Amazing Slow Downer works almost instantly, even on my 200MHz PPC. Sorry if this is the wrong area for this thread, it seems most logical here.

Amazing Slow Downer is also available on Windows. Google the App and you can find it's website. I use a program called Transcribe! that does a lot of the same stuff, but also has a few other options. Check them out.

almost any piece of DAW software can slow the tempo of an audio file down as well. At least, cool edit pro and sonar can i know. Reason does an exceptional job with tempo changes, using it's slicing technique (recycle), but i never tried it on a large/long audio file.

If you use Winamp, you can download a free plugin called Slow Me Down.
